Jubilee Year macareno
On June 1 began the Macareno Jubilee Year, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the Canonical Coronation of Our Lady of Hope, has been granted by the Holy See to the Basilica at which this Sacred Image International Marian devotion.
The Jubilee Macareno makes the Basilica of Santa Maria de la Esperanza Macarena universal pilgrimage center for Catholics and the Virgin of Hope devotional axis for pilgrims arriving from all points of the planet.
The opening marks the beginning of a full year the Brotherhood of the Macarena seeks a deepening Christian faith and Marian devotion. It has developed a vast and full program of events and educated in the twelve months of the Jubilee, and which will culminate in the International Marian Congress and Mariology, and above all, the commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Canonical Coronation of Our Lady of Hope in May 2014.
