The Cavalcade of the Magi from Seville continues to advance its purpose that next January 5, 2015 everything is ready on that special day that younger look forward to all year. This year there are 13 developments of the 33 that make up the procession through the streets of the city on the evening of January 5.
Also this year, the thrones of the Magi, in the previous edition were inspired three canopies of Holy Week in Seville, have become new. This time, Melchor leave the blue and red is his chariot, Gaspar and Baltasar will green gold and silver to make a nod to the tones that characterized the kings in the Seville ride since its founding in 1918 until the early 90 facing the centenary of this Sevillian tradition that will be in two years, apart from the introduction of technologies that allow the movement to create effects such as water or fire.
13 new floats
The names of the new floats are Egypt, Fantasy Wizard, Pied Piper, Noah's Ark, Hindu Temple, La Caja Magica, Fort Apache, Becquer, Don Quixote sponsored Lipasam, Cinderella, Take the Lead - sponsored by Tussam, The Band and Royal Andalusian Federation Cup, which this year celebrates its centenary.
Among the new features this year, also features a tribute to Becquer. This is a float that takes itself a tribute to Maria Luisa Park in its centennial recreating the gazebo with his sculptures and fountain.
King Melchor will Víctor López García-Aranda, Seville cardiologist. King Gaspar will Farrier Rafael Martinez, regional director of Western Andalusia CaixaBank and King Baltasar be Eduardo Herrera Jimenez, president of the Royal Andalusian Football Federation.
