Italica World Heritage
Italica World HeritageThe Italica Foundation of Classical Studies has began the process for the declaration of archaeological site of Italica Heritage of Humanity. This foundation was born from of the association "Friends of Italica", a nonprofit organization that aims to promote activities that maintain the classical culture alive. In 2017 reaches 1700 year since the death of Trajan and coinciding with that date is when it is expected to achieve the distinction of World Heritage to Italica.

Italica attraction of Seville

In Italica, are the remains of the first Roman settlement found in the Iberian Peninsula. Its origin was a field hospital set up in 206 BC. Later it grew and soon achieved the municipal status with a population of about 25,000 people. The achievement of the title of World Heritage represent a great tourist attraction for the Archaeological Complex of Italica and thus also for Santiponce and the city of Seville.
