Blog IV centenary of Murillo's birth

Seville, which was Murillo's cradle, is celebrating the 4th centenary of the birth of the famous painter.

The city wants to make a tribute to the international painter during the "Murillo's Year", which covers the months from December 2017 to the end of 2018.

During this year of commemoration, different exhibitions will be organized with the painter's works to show all the masterpieces he did during his life..

Scheduling November 2017 to December 2018

The schedule proposed for that year will be the following:

DECEMBER 2017

Inaugural concert at the Maestranza's Theatre.

Exhibition' MURILLO Y SU ESTELA', in  Santa Clara

MAY-JUNE 2018

Murillo and the ephemeral architectures.

JUNE-OCTOBER 2018

Exhibition "La modernidad de Murillo".

NOVIEMBRE 2018

Murillo IV Centenary: first anthological exhibition of Murillo, shown at Fine Arts Museum.
