This is the second time in history that the World Basketball Championships is celebrated in Spain. On this occasion will be from August 30 to September 14, 2014 with the participation of 24 countries, and Seville will host some matches of the group stage.

The Spanish National Team, for being the hostess, is one of the favorites to win the championship, with the permission of the powerful U.S. National Team, current double Olympic champion and current World champion. However, the Spanish Team won this title in the World Championships held in Japan in 2006 against the Greece National Team.
