Pontius Pilate in the Antiquarium of SevilleThe Studio Theatre company perform the play Pontius Pilate in the Antiquarium of Seville from March 7 to April 6, 2014 , coinciding with the five weekends of Lent. The journalist José Luis Losa direct this play, after almost a year of searching and collecting data and information in books and the Bible on the historical events that occurred around the person of Pontius Pilate. The real purpose of the play is to bring to the public the process endured by Jesus of Nazareth, from the point of view of Pilate. The play begins when Pilate announced that a prophet has been arrested. That's when the Roman procurator, under heavy pressure, decides that the defendant be crucified.

During the five weekends in which the work will be shown, the actors of Studio Theatre will play on a mosaic, and will be surrounded on four sides by the public, located in stands with a maximum capacity of 120 people. During the nearly one hundred minutes of the play, Pilate talks to his counselor Cordubio, the centurion Marcus, with his wife Claudia Prócula, the priests Annas and Caiaphas, and even Judas Iscariot, disciple of Jesus.
