Tours to the Major Altarpiece of the Cathedral
Tours to the Major Altarpiece of the CathedralFrom April, the Cathedral of Seville will offer free guided tours to see the Major Altarpiece of the church, which is currently being restored. The project 'Twenty-seven scenes of the altarpiece' coincides with the works of restoration, which end in the spring of 2014. Thus, visitors will access to the interior of the altarpiece by a scaffold of three heights, and check 'in situ' how to perform cleanup work and reintegration of sculptures, reliefs and masonry. The guided tour is complete with photographic panels, screens of video and some pieces that are disassembled. The visits will be in groups of 15 people, three daily groups from Monday to Friday, one hour long. The request is made through the website of the Cathedral www.catedraldesevilla.es The registration period is already open. Book your hotel in Seville close to the Cathedral.
