Blog Night visits to the Hospital of Charity in Seville

The company Engranajes Culturales will offer guided night visits to the Hospital of Charity in Seville from 23 May to 22 August, under the title "Hospital of Charity: Ritual and Mystery in the light of the candles". The visits will be always carried out on Friday, except on Thursday, August 14. Illuminated by candles, visitors will discover places that are closed to the public, as the crypt of Miguel de Manara. The visit is divided into three parts: "Miguel Manara: The contempt of worldliness", "Last Things: Spirituality, Life and Death in the Baroque" and "The exercise of charity: Myths, Rites and Mysteries of the Brotherhood." The approximate duration is 90 minutes.

The Hospital of Charity in the light of the candles

Engranajes Culturales will show visitors the most hidden places of this monument, never shown on daytime visits, and the particularity of it behind closed doors and only under the light of the candles. A very special way of looking at the many works of art of the Sevillian Baroque that you will find here.
