The Pontifical International Marian Academy meets every four years, in general terms, to experts and scholars of Mariology from around the world to celebrate the International Mariological Marian Congress.
On the 50th anniversary of the Canonical Coronation of Mary Holy de la Esperanza Macarena, and by special request of the Brotherhood of the Macarena, this conference will be organized by a Brotherhood for the first time. Is the Macareno Jubilee Year, which comprises from June 1, 2013 to May 31, 2014.
This congress was first celebrated in 1950. Rome has been the city that has hosted more times this Congress. In Spain, it is the third time that is organized because previously Zaragoza in 1979 and Huelva in 1992 had held this conference.
