History of a regiment in Seville
On Monday September 30, at the headquarters of the ground forces will expose an excellent example reminiscent Regiment Heroes Alcantara. The exhibition narrates in their 98 pieces of history that lived 14 Alcantara cavalry at Annual (El Rif, Africa) whose members lost their lives defending the withdrawal of Spanish troops in 1921.
This exhibition aims to highlight the spirit of sacrifice and patriotism exhibited these brave men to defend their comrades in this tragic event in the history of the Spanish army.
The exhibition consists of several articles, among which, documents, prints, paintings, weapons of the time, sculptures (some of Mariano Benlliure), photographs, uniforms and weapons, oil paintings of Augusto Ferrer Dalmau who evoke several episodes of that historical disaster.
The exhibition can be visited from next Monday until October 18, from 10:00 to 13:00 and in the afternoon there is the possibility of organizing groups by appointment at the phone number 954 938 210 or emailing to ocfuter@et.mde.es
